What is the history of the Threshold Business Workshops?

Threshold was originally founded in 1999 as an art-based, educational program in the schools. From the inception, however, we saw the potential of using the same principles and some of the same methods to encourage businessmen and women to be more creative and to use abstract thinking consciously in problem-solving. We experimented with adult workshops from the beginning. Then in 2004 and 2005 we received grants from the Marin Community Foundation to provide workshops to non-profit organizations. Also in 2004 we started the Threshold Studio Workshops for individuals. And in 2006, we started the Threshold Business Workshops. To date, we have provided workshops for the staffs of ProAttitude, Illuminex, Homeward Bound, and the Brain Injury Network. For more on the history of Threshold, click here.
